Some slight changes to Audio Coffee in the not too distant future...

Well, being as I am someone who does a lot locally for the local community, I've come to find out after three years, that redevelopment work is about to take place and as part of that, it's my job (as it was three years ago when some flats over the road were demolished) to keep a record of sorts for prosperity and to advertise this locale.
Now, three years ago, all I had was a crappy digital camera, tons of enthusiasm and a desire to do more. Now... I can.

This is going to sound strange to some, but it's going to be thrilling nontheless and from the time the equipment and gear moves in across the road (literally) then I can set about the task of interviewing the people involved and recording it - on and off site.

So, I'm hoping to bring a little of the community here to ampcasts community - why? well.. er.. until they can get the gear for everything to be on THEIR site and also.. so it can be aired on a local radio station.

Naturally, as things progress - I'll probably have to run yet another weblog on it all and publish photographs and the likes. I'll also probably end up working on a film of the whole thing and turn it into a dvd maybe - dunno yet, I'm female and likely to do things like change my mind and that sort of thing. Either way, it's going to be an exciting time ahead - one I'm looking forward to a lot!

Audio Coffee, really, doesn't have a real *format* so... expect ANYTHING to happen over the coming weeks and months.

There has been something of an enigmatic character on ampcast.com for quite some time now...
His music is exceptionally different to say the very least. Yet, also at the same time, his being vastly prolific has really made a difference to radio on ampcast as we know it....
That person... the man behind the music is.. none other than FRANKLIN E MORRIS!!!

At the moment, I am in email talks with FEM to organise an interview which will go out on air in the not too distant future.

Personally, I can't wait to interview him as his music has intrigued me for the last two years or so.

Audio Coffee... up a gear...

Yeah sure, Sunday was a real blast. I had more fun than is deemed healthy with the new improved V3 soundboard in full operation (dunno if anyone was able to hear it or not because my listeners didn't provide much in the way of feedback...)

It serves several purposes... it gets my show advertised, it advertises someone elses show ON someone elses show - and shows that behind every single ampcast.com radio presenter, there is generally a whole stack of untapped talent just waiting there. Oh yeah, it also promotes ampcast.com as a whole - if something is good, for heavens sakes, you don't keep quiet about it!

Of course, the majority of the flash stuff I've done will be saved onto cd for not just prosperity, but also serve as part of my electronic CV - so I can go beyond just saying that I can do something... I can whip something out of my pocket and have some solid proof.

It wasn't until I was asked 'How do you do that?' did I realise just how much actually went into making a soundboard. I've got so used to doing them I hardly notice just *what* goes in!
Well, it's a long and lengthy process that a good ear, some sharp editing skills and a decent flash program are the main elements... the rest is down to a wild imagination and hours of time editing and getting the whole thing together, testing in various browsers and ensuring that everything is where it should be doing what it's supposed to be doing.
(I generally test everything in Internet Explorer and Firefox so that nobody has to miss out) Oh yeah, I also try and save what I do in as small a workable format as possible so it doesn't eat bandwidth or slow down browsing be you a dial-up user or a broadband user.
Either way, I have fun doing what I do and thats that.

I'm also considering going network stylee on the show - hooking up to other stations - why? because I feel like it. I feel I've been doing this long enough to expand the show now and spread myself and the show around a bit. Mainly, like I said, because I want to, nothing more.
I think it would be an exciting adventure and one to contemplate seriously.

As for this coming Sunday, I don't know again whats going to happen or anything as yet, it's far too early in the week to be able to give an advance clue, but one thing is for sure, plenty of good good music!!
So, if you're wanting loud on Sundays, forget the rest, Audio Coffee only serves up the *best!*

Woah!! (But for all the right reasons!)

Yup, I've had a bit of a mad fit and gone and made a 'Frank Cotolo' soundboard which I have implemented on the the ampcast.com/audiocoffee page. Go and check it out!

What caused the soundboard to be there? some pretty sharp editing and a need to make some subtle changes to the ampcast page, plus, heck, why not?
'Cotolo Chronicles' is the best chat radio show on ampcast and I figured that if I gathered enough archived material, so be it - there shall be a Frank soundboard if it kills me. And... after ploughing through some hours worth of material, I managed to edit some soundbites together to make up a soundboard which now languishes (as I've said) on the ampcast.com/audiocoffee page.

The good thing about that is, it's expandable, so... if need be, I could create an even bigger soundboard if I had to.

And I just might! :-)

I'm also considering doing other soundboards for fun/uploading/personal use in the future too.. just to show off my editing skills - coz I'm like that!

Whats on this Sundays Audio Coffee?

Well, I don't know! and thats the honest truth! Ok, I might have a clue on Sunday morning, but at the moment, I really don't know!!!
Alright, thats not entirely true. I'm currently working my butt off on a track which has the working title of 'Frank Cotolo - Ate my Balls' - after a little feature last week on his show that not only had me laughing like crazy, but was also begging to be something more. So, something more it shall become.
I've edited the soundfiles I need for it, all I have to think about now, is the backing track which will accompany Frank.

And once it's done... it will be uploaded to my soundclick page (details at the top of this posting) so that the world can share something uniquely.. er... well... mp3-like.

For now, I'll sign off and contemplate my next move... more soundboards? editing my current soundboards? who knows.. I never know. I get a mood on me that says to do something and thats it - and I'm stubborn too... I won't stop until I finish.

Well....

I had got planned a live argument from two of my regular listeners, but... as it is, they got shy in advance of tomorrows show and chickened out.
They know who they are, they can't go anywhere online and not argue...
Oh well.. looks like I'll have to think of something else then!

so I decided once and for all on yesterdays show that I'd had enough of them arguing about whether or not to have an arguement on my show or not... Ladies and gentlemen, come hell or high water, I will have the two of them on the show next week, arguing *COMPLETELY LIVE*

We all seem to have skype these days and I'm gonna get the two of them hooked up and on the show so they can rant and rage to each other all they like..
