Town Hall Fireworks

A truly stunning evening and wonderful firework display over the town hall.
Including the appearance of a plane that should've diverted but didn't... I wonder what the planes passengers thought?

Hectic Weekend Ahead!

Well, here we are, Friday evening, relaxing, drinking coffee, watching the weather roll by at the window.... thank heavens we're having an early night tonight because tomorrow - well, thats when the fun (literally) begins!
I've got my phone charging up plus all my camera batteries... need 'em all!
I needed the batteries earlier when two jays showed up in the garden and short of sounding like something was being killed, entertained me for a good half hour as they fought over ONE solitary crust of bread in what can only be called 'slow steady rain'.
Well anyway... too busy tomorrow - need to be up and out early to do the weekly shop as early as possible because it's the local annual funday here - an open-to-all event that lasts from 1pm in the afternoon until 4pm - comprising of a range of stalls offering a wide range of things such as henna tattooing, tomobolas, raffles, information and advice, craft stalls, sweets, hot & cold food, drinks - this year, there's a promise of belly dancing - in the mud... guess what? I CAN'T WAIT (I have often a mad sense of humour, it's going to look like Glastonbury moved location :-D)
In fact theres so much going on I couldn't list it all off the glossy two-sided leaflets that are available in the area from all retail outlets :-D
So that will be me busy. Tomorrow night, short of collapsing, I'll be cooking dinner and getting Sundays show sorted out and ready for air.
Sunday - in a way that I am ever so thankful for, there's only my show going out. The EZhelp show is taking a one week haitus, which all coincides nicely with the release of 'Berlin' (SEE HERE), the opening of a new Chinese Chippy (called, 'The Chinese Chippy' - how.. ironic :-D) and possibly the biggest event our town has seen in a looong time... yup, the Town Hall (affectionately nicknamed 'the Wedding Cake') is 100 years old and the culmination of a month long of events ends on Sunday with street theatre, entertainers, marching bands, open air ice rink in the Town Hall Piaza and to finish what sounds like the perfect of perfect days - a big firework display... I don't know how they're going to do the firework display, but... if you're unable to get to Stockport this weekend, then there is a webcam option available.
Thankfully, on Monday I can sit back and work out how I got through it all :-D
