*The BIG Coffee Moment*

It's **official** as of next Sunday, Audio Coffee goes out loud and live on both ampcast.com (it's official home) and IndieMusicXchange.com at the usual time of 10am EST, 3pm in the UK and 4pm across Europe.

That means you can pick up the stream from both places!

Warming up the coffee pot

Well.. much as it was my intention to have a little party for Audio Coffee, I've held back on that in favour of 'other things' such as finally getting around to sorting out stuff towards the upcoming 'Ampcasthon'
There isn't an official date as yet but the earliest provisional date has been set for the 13th/14th March 2005.

So, plenty of stuff to sort out there, plus I'm hoping to invade 'The British Invasion' on the 19th March when Surreal Radio does an all Brit feature that so far, there are no other British female electronic musicians... except me.. and I'm about three years out of practice... (except for the bits of stuff I've done on my computer) so, I'm hoping and praying I get some sort of refresher from my dear darling before too long.

So, what else is new? WELL... (she said.. realising that she's the only female broadcaster at ampcast at the moment...) From next week, you'll be able to hear Audio Coffee go out even further when it links up to IndieMusicXchange.com all at the same time and everything.. giving the show the much needed expansion it needs.

For now? settle down for 2 hours of the finest music there is on the show this week, I'll be looking forward to seeing you in the hotline :-)

Hmmm? Really? NEVER!!

Ok, so it's time to admit, that *unofficially* Audio Coffee is a big shiny one year old... officially, it only went legit last August.. So, what I'm going to do, is have it some kind of really good unofficial birthday party next Sunday!
(20th February 2005)

I did mention somewhere on this particular blog that I was thinking of expanding at some point and sadly, thats all had to go to the wayside for now due to a whole load of other commitments. I'd *LOVE* the opportunity to do more broadcasting, but until I've sorted things out here one way or another, those expansion plans are for now, on hold.

There will be a time in the Summer when I can probably rethink and everything but for now, the one show each week on ampcast is more than plentiful.

I'm still trying to get organised for a 24 hour ampcasthon - something that is going to take precious time to get set up, and it's that which I am dedicating my freetime to. I'm already building flash banners on the other computer here and trying to get fellow ampcast presenters to join in what looks to be a promising 24 hours - we can do it.. but right now, it's all in the organisation stages.
Yes, I hope it does knacker me out.. Yes, I will enjoy it... Yes, it will hopefully bring new talent on-board aswell as expose fresh unearthed talents in all of us. I'm hoping to make it as participant friendly as possible and for once, the show with no format (yes, mine) will probably for once in it's life *have* a format to stick to - if but for one show...

On top of all that - yes.. I'm developing a mild cold :-(

But anyway - next weeks show promises to be a bloody good one! Make sure you're tuned in!!!

Just Brilliant...

Oh the feeling that spring is around the corner fills me with a sudden urge to broadcast like a mad thing... and so this weekend just gone, I did that.
I'm paying the price right now by feeling so darned tired I could just go to sleep anywhere at no given moment... I need *coffee* by the bucket-load and NOW!

I actually enjoyed filling in on Surreal Radio... was a bit of a challenge finding three hours to fill, but I did it. And I managed to follow that with my own show, so in effect, I followed my own show and took a sleep inbetween and then attempted to broadcast a third time, quite unsucessfully, during the 'SuperBowl' (I should've guessed that the majority would be watching a game I fail totally to understand...)
So all in all, a rather productive weekend dotted with a liberal amount of me broadcasting my little socks off... ok, so there was a slight technical hitch at the beginning of Sundays show - but we'll put that down to 'Skype' being as it is a brilliant voice communication program that can, if given the chance, mess your audio settings, which invariably meant that the show started twice, well, three times as I plain forgot to start the encoders.... too much enthusiasm... never mind!!

On my shows this weekend, I played an interview I'd recorded with Franklin E Morris, an ampcast artist I have seriously great admiration for - and thats not going to go away! I not only uploaded Sundays show to my ampcast page, but I also seperately uploaded the interview too and I've emailed FEM with the link to the interview so he can put it on his brand new *soon-to-be-launched* website.
To coincide with that, the weekend that the site is launched, I'll be doing a FEM special on Audio Coffee - for now, stay tuned for news...

Just be sure to tune in to Audio Coffee next Sunday for more of the best sounds around from the freshest and best ampcast beans!!!

Audio Coffee takes over Surreal Radio (for one night only)

It's a bit late in the day to be announcing this, but it has to be said anyway. The host of Surreal radio, my fiancee, C J Wray has been taken ill and has been up most of the night being poorly. So, tonight, Saturday the whatever day it is of Feb 2005, I'll be taking the show on and everyone gets an early coffee...

This doesn't mean that Audio Coffee has been cancelled... no.. it is my intention to replay tonights show tomorrow because of the interview with Franklin E Morris (an absolute 'not to miss' feature)

So, thats 6 hours in total - ok, the same three hours twice... whatever!! :-)

I'm explaining this now becaue I know some people won't understand the concept of 'show playback the following day from the previous night'...

I hope this has addressed that problem.

For now? Well, tune in tonight, 6pm EST, 11pm in the UK and 12midnight In most of Europe for the most dramatic, fraught and most nerve-wracking show of my career to date...
Come in to the hotline and hold my hand... please... no, I really DO mean it...
hold my hand and if you'd be so good as to put the kettle on every now and then, I'd be ever so grateful...

Thanks...
