Merry Christmas!

GRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!
What crack are QVC smoking? Why do they want to foist Christmas on us ALREADY? I mean.. look at the date. Right this very minute, QVC are telling us to buy wrapping paper and decorations and ITS STILL F*"*$)}G JULY!!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont want to sound like scrooge already, but isn't it just WAY TOO EARLY?
Whatever happened to actually waiting for December? Also, we're right in the middle of a heatwave - so I suspect the toxic odour of spray snow has probably got up someones heatstoked brain and further screwed around with it - resulting in this hideous display of Christmas tack that frankly, waiting for November seems a better option. I don't care if that bauble is hand blown glass (their wording, not mine).

So, to sum it up. Until November, forget there is a Christmas... the shops will be open throughout the year to cater for your earthly needs. You do not have to buy anthing right this very minute - and there should be a law restricting the sale of Christmas goods like there is with fireworks.

Right now, toasting alive in a heatwave is more preferable to wondering how much tinsel I should buy and what wrapping paper I need.

HOLIDAAAAAAAAY!!!

I'll admit it, I havent stopped doing stuff since the last time I went to Hartlepool. So much so that, that time is approaching once again. Two more shows and then a well earned weekend away at my favourite seaside town with of course, my dear darling other half - who comes from there.
Its about as non-tourist as it gets - and thats great with me. I hate places like Blackpool which have become hell-holes full of drunken stag/hen parties all wearing the same teeshirts puking up on the same rides.
No ta!
I like Hartlepool for many reasons - one of them being that you can actually get to sit on the beach and there's room for anyone else without them having the need to trip over you!
The weather here in the UK has been exceptionally hot - a rare thing that we should actually get anything like 'hot' weather at all... we're not used to it! Our railways are buckling, our roads are melting, brickwork absorbs the heat in places where it's hard to get ventilation and it's just too damned hot!
I don't handle the heat very well.. never have done, never will...

At least by the time we get to Hartlepool, it should (please) be not as balmy. Manchester council, in their wisom, are planning on planting tropical plants and trees around the city - er?? scuse me? ecology and all that?!

So anyway, two more shows - this week and next and then a break - and then, on my return, a whole new look for Audio Coffee - which should be good. I'm looking forward to announcing the features in about 2 weeks time.

So, for now, enjoy the shows and don't forget, if you can't listen, I'll be posting links to where the show can be downloaded from on this very weblog!!!

Hot, Bothered and.....bleh......

I like it when good things happen. Good things usually happen as a result of other good things happening or by creating a good thing. One good thing usually leads to another good thing and good things only happen if you make a good thing happen first.
Sitting on your a$$hole doesn't generate a lot of good if you don't do anything - so go outside and do a good thing - be it small or otherwise. Doing good things makes people happy - and yourself too!

Today, I got this... I feel happy because I did a good thing!

Oops............!

Because of the other computer here, I moved all the stuff I need to this computer - which had gone into retirement...
I knew that it would go to poo at some point - it was inevitable... the squirrel in the kitchen incident was an unexpected event that passed quickly with only a bag of nuts spilt into the kitchen sink. And the great tit threatened to enter via the window - pah! easy! if it got in - soon sorted!!
(Seriously, I must be too nice for all this to happen!)
Todays show SHOULD have been recorded, but thanks to an oversight on my behalf, it didn't happen.

I've moved the nuts off the windowsill... but wherever I leave them, they're going to be a temptation to those nut-addicted little cute furballs.
I'll be keeping an eye on all that :-p

Ah well.. lets try that again next week!
